When will the conference be starting and ending?

The conference will start on Monday 27 May, 8:00 (am). Reception of all participants will take place between 8 and 9 am. Presentations will start at 9 am.

The conference will end on Wednesday 29 May after the conference dinner.

How to reach the conference venue?

The conference venue is at the historical Faculty of Medicine, in Montpellier city centre. Address: Rue de l’Ecole de Médecine (main entrance for the conference next to the entrance of the cathedral). The faculty of medicine is within walking distance if you are staying in the city centre. Alternatively, the tram line 1 (blue line) will provide the easiest public transport to go to the Faculty (closest tram stop: Albert 1er, then walk up Place Albert 1er and then Boulevard Henry IV, and turn second street on the left (Rue de l’Ecole de Médecine). map_Montpellier.

To poster and oral contributors

Participants presenting a poster will be asked to install their poster in the morning on the day of their session on the allocated panel (poster numbers are specified in the conference programme and abstract book, see the Program tab) and to remove it after the poster session or at the end of the day so that next session on the next day can be organised.

Participants giving a talk (invited and contributed talks) will be asked to upload their PDF presentation just before their session.

WIFI access at the conference venue

WIFI connection is available in the premises of the Faculty of Medicine. Interested people will be provided with a login and password after having filled in a form at Reception on the day of arrival (8:00-9:00 Monday 27).

Meals provided at the conference

Registration includes coffee breaks (morning and afternoon) and lunch boxes  every day. Lunch boxes will be distributed in the reception hall at 12:30 every day and participants will be free to stay at the Faculty  or navigate in the city centre or Botanical Garden nextby. The conference will also organise for all participants a Welcome Reception on Monday 27 (18-20:00, Faculty of Medicine) and a Conference Buffet Dinner on Wednesday 29 May (19-24:00, Faculty of Medicine, Cour d’Honneur).

Guided tours at lunch time

The conference will organise guided tours at lunch time daily for interested participants.

Interested participants will have to sign in for one specific tour (see below) at coffee break on Monday morning

This tour will present you the western world’s oldest medical school still in use, formerly a medieval monastery then an Episcopal palace and now the present medical school.

A mansion courtyard in the historical centre

This tour will go through some narrow streets of the historical centre and give you a taste of the characteristic atmosphere found at the heart of Montpellier.
